What documents CANNOT have the e-Apostille?

Not all documents are eligible for the e-Apostille at present. Certain documents must still be issued with the physical apostille. These documents are:

  • Birth Certificates
  • Marriage Certificates
  • Civil Ceremony Certificates
  • Death Certificates
  • Certificate of No Impediment
  • ACRO, NPCC, DBS Certificates

  • Disclosures and Police Checks
  • Finger Print Documents
  • Ink Signed Solicitor Documents
  • Notarised Documents
  • Court Documents with Ink Stamps
  • Other Government Issued Certificates

Not all documents that are issued digitally can have an e-apostille!
It is essential that a document can be verified before legalisation.

For example. A Levels, GCSEs, BTECs and other academic documents cannot be verified using online services. We need to see the physical documents. We cannot accept PDF documents in good faith. The electronic apostille (e-apostille) can only be added to documents we have verified or when our solicitor knows the source of the documents.
