Apostille service for your passport

We provide a legalisation service for UK passports. The apostille certificate is always attached to a certified photocopy of a UK passport. This may be requested to confirm you are a UK citizen or for identification purposes.

UK passports are always legalised on a photocopy. To order our apostille service you will need to send us your passport or visit our office in person. We will make a colour copy of the photo page that includes the passport number, person’s name, nationality, date of birth, gender, place of birth, date of issue, expiry date and issuing authority.

The photocopy is then certified by one of our solicitors before the apostille is attached to the back of the colour photocopy. This is common practice when legalising a passport and you will be able to submit your document to the authority requesting a copy of your passport.

We cannot legalise the original passport

It is not possible to attach an apostille to your actual passport. Even if you have one of the pages signed by a notary public or solicitor the apostille cannot be fixed to it. The UK government does not allow apostilles to be attached to original passports.

All passports are legalised with the apostille by making a certified photocopy.

Pre-certified copy of your passport

If you prefer you can visit your own solicitor to get a photocopy certified. Once completed you can send the certified copy to us for the apostille. For some customers this can be time consuming and expensive with some solicitors and notary publics charging over £50 just to sign a copy of a document. Our apostille service includes solicitor certification to make the process as simple as possible.

Embassy attestation for your passport

Further embassy attestation of your passport is normally required when you will be using the document in a country that is not a member of the Hague Convention. We can assist with most embassies in London. Please contact one of the team for the latest prices and processing times.

Secure Delivery

We recommend you send your passport to us by either Royal Mail Special Delivery or use a reputable courier service. For the return of the document we offer a secure UK courier service. You will find the courier service listed on the order form. Using first class post is not suitable for guaranteeing safe return of your passport so please select either our UK or international courier service.
